So instead of freaking out over the thought of taking your hard-earned savings out of the bank and investing into a property, let's look at buying a home from a different perspective:

The money is still there, and for the most part that money (investment) is going to grow in leaps and bounds over the years, rather than earning less than one-half of one percent in annual interest from a huge conglomerate bank that has control over your deposited cash.

Whatever money you put down on a new home, whether 5%, 10%, 20%, or more, you are just sliding those saving into a different account--your new home. Then you do what you want to your home to make it more valuable and create greater wealth, and bring you joy. One day, you'll sell that home and walk away with a lot more cash and buy something bigger that you can use to create even more wealth. Or you'll take out equity from your home and buy a second property. The possibilities are endless, and the sky is the limit.
